Senator Goggin to host town hall in Zumbrota to discuss opportunities for tax relief and reform in 2018

State Senator Mike Goggin (R-Red Wing) and Senate Tax Committee Chairman Roger Chamberlain (R-Lino Lakes) will host a Tax Town Hall Saturday, February 3 in Zumbrota solicit public feedback and discuss opportunities to simplify the state’s tax code, protect Minnesotans’ wages, and grow the economy.

“Federal tax relief will be good for all of us. People will see reduced taxes, higher wages, more jobs, and greater opportunity, economic security, and shared prosperity — but only if we make the necessary changes that will help Minnesota families take full advantage of the benefits,” said Sen. Chamberlain.

Added Sen. Goggin, “Last year the legislature provided significant tax relief for Minnesota families. With the passage of the federal tax overhaul, we have an opportunity to do even more. I look forward to hearing what my constituents think about this important issue.”
