Michael Holmstrom and his wife, Nicole, live in Buffalo with their five young children. Michael serves Senate District 29, which includes parts of Wright, Meeker, and Hennepin counties.

Before being elected to the Senate, Michael was active in Republican grassroots efforts throughout Wright County and Central Minnesota. He has been a boots-on-the-ground leader through his work knocking on doors, organizing volunteers, and being a key voice in efforts to advance conservative principles.

Michael is driven by a belief in limited government, safe communities, strong families, improving educational opportunities, and restoring accountability and transparency at the Capitol.

Outside of the Senate, Michael is a small business owner who is passionate about his family and community.
