Statement from Miller on Special Session for Bonus Pay

“I’m optimistic about the efforts of the frontline worker bonus pay working group and encourage them to come to an agreement as quickly as possible on the eligibility requirements for the $250 million that was allocated by the legislature. The Senate will be ready to take up the bonus pay agreement when the Governor calls us back for a special session. He is the only one who can bring us back for a special session to pass these bonuses, and we shouldn’t delay this any longer.

“Furthermore, the Governor should not tie worker bonuses to any other issues or agreements. The workers who took risks to help keep others safe during the pandemic deserve these bonuses for their efforts.”
