State Senator Limmer Responds to Vandalism of ‘Black Lives Matters’ Banners on Washington DC churches

“As the Chairman of the Minnesota Senate Judiciary and Public Safety Committee, I condemn the acts of vandalism and destruction of Black Lives Matter banners that were posted outside of historically Black churches, recently in Washington DC,” said State Senator Warren Limmer (R) Maple Grove.

Recent news accounts reported that banners posted on Washington DC churches promoting the message of ‘Black Lives Matter’ were ripped down and some burned after pro-Trump rallies occurred nearby.

“As a lawmaker and as a Christian I am painfully aware of the protests, rioting, and burning of private property, as well as a police precinct station in Minneapolis following the death of George Floyd, ‘ said Limmer. “We must not allow frustration, fear, and political difference interrupt our need to seek unity as a people, both in our society as well as in our faith communities.”
