Senator Paul Anderson returned to the Capitol this week for the start of the 2020 session

Senator Paul Anderson (R-Plymouth) returned to the Capitol this week for the start of the 2020 session.

He released the following statement:

“As we begin the 2020 legislative session, I am reminded what an honor and privilege it is to represent the communities of Plymouth, Minnetonka, and Woodland, in the Minnesota Senate. With Minnesota being the only divided government in the entire country, my great hope is that we can work together to find bipartisan, pragmatic and commonsense solutions to the issues facing our communities, and our state more broadly. While there is a lot of political noise surrounding all of us at the moment, I truly believe there is more that we agree upon, than disagree. Things like eliminating the tax on social security benefits, ensuring access to emergency insulin for those in need, and funding responsible investments in critical infrastructure—these are all things Minnesotans overwhelmingly support. I look forward to working together to get those things done this session.”

Senator Paul Anderson (R-Plymouth) represents Senate District 44, which includes the cities of Plymouth, Minnetonka, and Woodland. He is the chairman of the Senate Committee on Higher Education Finance and Policy and serves on the Taxes and E-12 Education Committees.
