Senator Howe: The Constitution Allows for Peaceful Protest, but Rioting at the Federal Capitol is Unacceptable

Senator Jeff Howe (R-Rockville) today released the following statement in response to the events that took place at the Federal Capitol:

“I support the right to protest, but I vehemently disagree with violence, destruction, and rioting. The First Amendment gives us a constitutional right to protest, but the rioting that happened yesterday at the Federal Capitol is unacceptable. We are better than this.”
