Sen. Rarick, Republican colleagues unveil Access, Affordability, and Accountability budget proposal

Sen. Jason Rarick (R-Pine City) and Minnesota Senate Republicans today unveiled budget targets for the 2019 legislative session along with an ambitious and detailed agenda that builds on responsible investments made in 2017 and 2018. The budget doesn’t ask taxpayers to pay more, and instead focuses on making government more affordable, accessible, and accountable.

As part of the rollout, Senate Republicans unveiled a comprehensive website for the public to find information on spending area breakdowns and specific agenda items pertaining to each issue area. The website can be found at www.mnsenaterepublicans.com/budget.

“I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Gov. Walz’s budget proposal is a non-starter. It recklessly increases spending and asks working Minnesotans to fund his wish list. Our budget is a responsible effort to make your daily life more affordable while also making government more accountable to you.”
