Free town hall meeting will give community opportunity to discuss insulin
On Saturday, October 26th, Senator Eric Pratt will host an insulin listening session in Prior Lake. From 10 AM until 11 AM at Prior Lake Fire Station Number 1, the free town hall meeting will give Prior Lake residents and other constituents of Sen. Pratt the opportunity to discuss their personal struggles with affordable insulin. Further, Sen. Pratt will discuss new legislation he authored to address this issue.
“While the legislature passed several reforms during the 2019 session that lowered the price of insulin for many, I still hear from local community members that struggle to cover the high costs of their lifesaving insulin, through no fault of their own,” said Senator Pratt. “This shouldn’t be a partisan issue. I look forward to hearing from local families and individuals struggling with diabetes and the ability to affordable insulin. While I worked with health care stakeholders, doctors, and diabetes advocates to develop a workable plan to address this issue, I encourage local residents to attend this listening session and voice their opinion.”
