Sen. Pratt, Sen. Housley to meet with area seniors to discuss expansive new law

On Friday, September 13, Senator Eric Pratt (R-Prior Lake) and Senator Karin Housley (R-St. Mary’s Point), chair of the Senate Family Care and Aging Committee, will join residents at McKenna Crossing in Prior Lake to discuss historic reforms to state law protecting Minnesota seniors.

WHY: Discussion with facility residents and staff regarding the Elder Care and Vulnerable Adult Protection Act of 2019, an expansive new state law aimed at protecting residents of senior care facilities and licensing assisted living facilities.

Senator Eric Pratt (R-Prior Lake) represents Senate District 55 in the Minnesota State Senate, which includes Scott County. He also serves as a Minnesota State Senate Assistant Majority Leader and Chairman of the Jobs and Economic Growth Finance and Policy Committee.
