Sen. Draheim praises $57 million boost for clean water infrastructure

The Minnesota Public Facility Authority (MPFA) this week announced more than $57 million in loans and grants to three water infrastructure projects across Senate District 22. Senator Rich Draheim (R–Madison Lake) applauded the new funding:

“Clean, safe water has a huge impact in our district, especially for agriculture, manufacturing, and of course, for families,” said Sen. Draheim. “These awards represent a critical investment in our community’s infrastructure, businesses, and families. It’s a great example of state agencies and local governments working together to deliver practical, much-needed solutions for clean water improvements.”

Blue Earth was awarded more than $19 million for water treatment plant improvements and Fairmont was awarded more than $39 million for wastewater treatment facility improvements and ground water storage reservoirs.
