ST. PAUL – Nursing homes across the state are seeing the result of the legislative session as the funding fought for by Senate Republicans is flowing to their facilities. That includes the first of two payments of $241,028 to Haven Homes of Maple Plain. The second payment is expected on August 1, 2024.

“I’m glad we were able to finally provide nursing homes with some financial support. These facilities and their staff are providing incredibly important care and safety to our loved ones,” Sen. Warren Limmer, R- Maple Grove, said. “We all need to recognize the amazing challenges there are to running a nursing home in our state. Between staffing shortages, delayed reimbursements, and long wait lists for beds, we should do all that we can to make sure our nursing homes are funded and have what they need to be successful.
