Senators Newman, Jensen to join Capital Investment Committee at area project requests

On Tuesday, October 22, the Minnesota Senate Capital Investment Committee will visit the area as part of the third leg of its #MNfrastructure statewide bonding tour. The stops come at the beginning of the committee’s three-day bus tour of capital requests in Southwestern Minnesota.

In addition to site tours, the committee will also meet briefly at each location to hear from local officials regarding their project requests. The committee will make the following area stops:

  • Project: U.S. Highway 212 four-lane expansion
    • Site visit (10:10 a.m.): North of U.S. Highway 212 & Bongards Creamery (bus will park on the east side of County Road 51)
    • Presentation (10:30 a.m.): Bongards Creameries Manufacturing Central Plant (13200 County Road 51, Bongards, MN 55368)
  • Project: Henderson Area Minnesota River Scenic Byway projects
    • Driving tour (12:00 p.m.): Sibley County Scenic Byway #6
    • Presentation (12:20 p.m.): Henderson RoadHaus (514 Main Street, Henderson, MN 56044)
    • Driving tour (12:45 p.m.): State Highway 93
