Minnesota forecasts ongoing budget surpluses and economic growth

Speaker Kurt Daudt (R-Crown) and Senate Majority Leader Paul Gazelka (R-Nisswa) released the following statement regarding Minnesota’s budget surplus Wednesday.

“Everyone agrees: today’s budget forecast shows tax cuts lead to economic growth. The doom and gloom predicted by Democrats after passage of last year’s historic tax bill has not come to fruition,” said Majority Leader Gazelka. “Minnesotans’ efforts are paying off.”

“The hard work of Minnesotans boosted by Republican-led tax cuts at the federal and state level delivered good news today,” said Speaker Daudt. “While Minnesota Management and Budget continues to be overly pessimistic, we are optimistic about Minnesota’s financial outlook.”
