Majority Leader Paul Gazelka Earns Guardian of Small Business Award

The state’s major small business group, the National Federation of Independent Business Minnesota, named Majority Leader Paul Gazelka an NFIB Guardian of Small Business.

Senator Gazelka’s award was based on votes taken during the 2019-2020 Sessions of the Minnesota Legislature.

“There are over 500,000 small businesses in Minnesota that each makes their own critical contribution to the strength of our state’s economy,” said Sen. Gazelka. “As the owner of my own small business, I know firsthand the challenges Minnesota businesses have faced this past year. As we progress through this legislative session, I will continue advocating for all our small businesses and push to open Minnesota’s economy back up. Together, we can get Minnesota back on track.”

With 10,000 members statewide, NFIB is Minnesota’s largest small-business group in terms of entities. NFIB gives out its Guardian of Small Business award at both the federal and state level to recognize lawmakers who have been supportive of small businesses on critical issues.
