Lang recognized with Housing Leadership Award

Housing First Minesota recently recognized members of the Minnesota Legislature with the 2025 Housing Leadership Award. This award recognizes recipients’ outstanding efforts to advance housing affordability and expand opportunities for homeownership during the 2025 legislative session.

Senator Andrew Lang (R–Olivia), who serves on the Senate’s Housing and Homelessness Prevention Committee, was recognized with the award. He released this statement:

“Thank you to Housing First for the recognition and for the important work they’re doing to support housing affordability and availability,” said Sen. Lang. “I hear from developers and aspiring homeowners across my district and the state who are asking for more affordability and less red tape when it comes to building homes.

“I’ll keep working on smart solutions that give developers a clearer path to breaking ground. Zoning reform is going to be key to improving the pipeline of new homes and meeting demand across Minnesota.”
