The League of Minnesota Cities has named 28 state lawmakers (16 representatives and 12 senators) as 2025 Legislators of Distinction. Senator Mark Koran (R–North Branch) was honored as one of this year’s recipients.
“Thank you to the League of Minnesota Cities for this honor. I also want to recognize the other lawmakers who were named,” said Sen. Koran. “At the end of the day, everything we do at the Capitol should be for the people we represent and for every Minnesotan.
“When we put Minnesotans first, listen to constituents, and get out in our communities, that’s where we’re supposed to be. When I do that, what I hear is that people want safe streets, a say in how their kids get educated, their tax dollars spent on real solutions not wasted to fraud, and they really want to trust their state government again.”
Chosen legislators are honored for specific actions that aided efforts of Minnesota cities during the past year’s state legislative session.
Legislators of Distinction are approved annually by the League’s Board of Directors in recognition of the collaboration of state and city officials needed to successfully serve shared communities and meet the unique needs of rural, urban, and suburban residents across Minnesota.
