Draheim congratulates Farm Family honorees

The University of Minnesota has announced this year’s Farm Family Recognition Program honorees, celebrating farm families from across Minnesota for their important contributions to agriculture and their local communities.

Senator Rich Draheim (R–Madison Lake) congratulated the honorees from Senate District 22

“The farm family is truly the backbone of our food industry and a big part of our way of life here in Minnesota and across the U.S.,” said Sen. Draheim. “Congratulations to all the families recognized this year, especially the seven families from my district.”

The Farm Family Recognition Program has honored Minnesota farmers since 1979. It is run by University of Minnesota Extension along with the College of Food, Agricultural, and Natural Resource Sciences and the College of Veterinary Medicine. Honorees are celebrated each August at Farmfest in Redwood County.
