Senator Bruce Anderson to continue as chair of Senate Veterans and Military Affairs Finance and Policy Committee

The Minnesota Senate majority announced today that Senator Bruce Anderson (R-Buffalo) will once again chair the Senate Veterans and Military Affairs Finance and Policy Committee. Senator Anderson also chaired the committee in 2017 and 2018.

“Every day, we ask the 2 million men and women serving on active and reserve military duty to make sacrifices for their country; we ask even more of the more than 200,000 who are deployed,” said Sen. Anderson. “When their service to our country ends, it is our responsibility to make their transition into civilian life as easy as possible. That means more job opportunities, affordable housing, and mental health assistance. As a veteran of the U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force Reserves, and the Minnesota Air National Guard, this is a responsibility I view with utmost seriousness. I am honored to once again serve as chairman of the Veterans committee, and I look forward to continuing the committee’s strong history of bipartisan work next session.”
