This week Senate Republicans unveiled our comprehensive education proposal focused on two overarching priorities that have been lacking in recent years: keeping kids safe and helping them succeed academically.
The package covers both safety and academics. It funds school security upgrades, improves how schools communicate with parents, and reduces the scope of unfunded mandates, while also addressing reading proficiency and expanding school choice options.
Minnesota families deserve schools that are safe and focused on learning. I am proud to support this package.
