Senator Keri Heintzeman represents District 6 in the Minnesota Senate, which includes Cass, Crow Wing, and Itasca counties. She is serving her first term in the Senate.

A longtime resident of Nisswa, Senator Heintzeman has lived in the community since 1994. She was born in International Falls and later lived in Bemidji and Brainerd. Her father worked at the paper mill in International Falls. She graduated from Lake Region Christian School in Baxter and attended Central Lakes College.

Senator Heintzeman and her husband, Josh, own and operate a family business focused on excavation, tree service, and heavy equipment work. She also manages a vacation rental property as part of the family’s small business. Together, they have homeschooled their six children, who range in age from 9 to 23.

She is a member of Heritage Assembly Church in Baxter, serves as an auxiliary member of the Gideons, and is a member of the local Lions Club.

Senator Heintzeman’s legislative priorities include defending life, protecting the Second Amendment, reducing taxes and regulations, and supporting parental rights.
