The Minnesota Public Facility Authority (MPFA) this week announced more than $5.8 million in loans and grants for a new water treatment plant and supply well in Atwater.
Senator Andrew Lang (R–Olivia) praised the funding:
“This new clean water funding is a big win for Atwater and the surrounding community,” said Sen. Lang. “It’s easy to take for granted clean water and forget how much our families, businesses, and farms depend on it. This investment will allow us to make the upgrades needed to ensure safe, reliable water now and into the future.”
The Atwater project consists of a total of a grants of $5,274,342 and a loan of $586,038.
