"I am terribly saddened to learn of the passing of my friend Bruce Anderson (R-Buffalo).  He was a stalwart of the Senate and a veteran dedicated to his community. We served together on several committees and Bruce's thoughtful approach to everything he did and the care he showed for all those around him are a bright example of public service.  He will be greatly missed and my thoughts and prayers are with his family as they cope with this sudden loss."
