Senator Warren Limmer Named One of Minnesota’s Most Effective Legislators by National Center for Effective Lawmaking

Senator Warren Limmer (R-Maple Grove) has been recognized as the second most effective Republican Senator in the Minnesota Legislature by the Center for Effective Lawmaking (CEL), a nonpartisan organization dedicated to advancing productive governance through rigorous legislative analysis.

The prestigious ranking highlights Limmer’s proven ability to craft meaningful legislation, navigate the legislative process, and deliver results for Minnesotans during his distinguished career.

“I’m deeply honored to receive this recognition,” said Sen. Limmer. “Getting things done in the legislature requires more than just introducing bills. It demands respect, collaboration, and a willingness to understand different points of view. Those are principles I’ve carried with me since I first entered the Capitol. As I prepare to retire after this final session, I’m proud that this recognition reflects the kind of legislator I’ve tried to be during my entire tenure: effective, principled, and focused on real outcomes for the people of Minnesota.”

The Center for Effective Lawmaking evaluates lawmakers using a comprehensive methodology that combines 15 distinct metrics. These include: the number and significance of bills introduced, how far those bills advance through the legislative process, and the substantive impact of the policy proposals. The rankings are regarded as objective and data-driven assessments of legislative effectiveness for the country.
