(St. Paul) — The Minnesota Senate Monday announced committee assignments for the upcoming 2021-2022 legislative session. In addition to serving as chairman of the new Human Services Licensing Committee, Senator Paul Utke (R-Park Rapids) will serve as the vice-chair of the Commerce Committee and as a member of the Energy Committee and the Human Services Reform Finance and Policy Committee.

“I am honored to be able to continue serving the people of northern Minnesota on these important committees,” said Sen. Utke. “These are issues that play an important role in people’s lives — from rules pertaining to how their loved ones are cared for, to insurance costs or alcohol sales regulations, to their monthly energy bills — and I’m eager to get the new session started.”
