Senator Kiffmeyer invited by President Trump to White House for event on rolling back regulations

President Donald Trump invited Minnesota Senator Mary Kiffmeyer (R-Big Lake) and Senate Majority Leader Paul Gazelka (R-East Gull Lake) to attend a discussion about the president’s historic regulatory reform. The event took place on Thursday, July 16th at the White House.

“It was a privilege to join President Trump at the White House for this significant event,” said Senator Mary Kiffmeyer (R-Big Lake). Regulations kill jobs, increase the cost of goods, and stifle innovation. Deregulation will accelerate our economic development, allowing Americans to keep more of their money so they can thrive.”

Last October, the president announced the Governors’ Initiative on Regulatory Innovation to extend the President’s historic regulatory reform to every level of government. This initiative aims to cut regulations and costs, advance occupational licensing reform, and better align local, state and federal regulations. The initiative is a bipartisan group of State, local, and tribal leaders from across the country who are championing deregulatory and smarter regulation activity.
