Senator Julia Coleman announces Virtual Town Hall

Senator Julia Coleman announced a pre-legislative session virtual town hall for Monday, Jan. 24, from noon to approximately 1 p.m. Carver County Representatives Greg Boe and Jim Nash will also be participating.

The virtual town hall, which will be streamed live on Senator Coleman’s Official Facebook Page, provides an opportunity for constituents throughout Senate District 47 to let the Carver County delegation know which issues matter the most to them leading up to the 2022 legislative session.

“I look forward to hearing from my constituents on the issues that matter the most to them and answering any questions they may have about the upcoming session,” said Senator Coleman. “I encourage anyone who is unable to attend to send questions in advance or reach out to my office to set up a one-on-one meeting. My office is always open to my community.”

Senator Coleman will open the Facebook town hall meeting with a brief presentation on the upcoming legislative session, followed by a time for audience comments and questions. There is no cost to attend, and all residents need to do is visit her page to watch. Residents who are unable to watch live are welcome to view it later online, and a copy will be emailed in a follow-up newsletter.

Questions can be directed prior to the town hall to Marissa Alfano, legislative assistant to Senator Julia Coleman, at (651) 296-3988 or via email at marissa.alfano@senate.mn or submitted live in the video comment section. Constituents are encouraged to ask questions even if they cannot attend the live discussion.

The video can be viewed on Senator Coleman’s Facebook page, which can be found by searching for “Senator Julia Coleman” or by visiting https://www.facebook.com/SenJuliaColeman
