Senator Anderson: New state flag and seal designs are due by Monday, Oct. 30

Friends and neighbors,

The redesign of the state flag and seal is one of the many partisan policies forced into law by Democrats and Governor Walz. As a result, the State Emblems Redesign Commission is now accepting flag and seal design proposals from the public.

I invite you to make your voice heard and share your thoughts on our new flag and seal!

  • Members of the public can submit their designs online at www3.mnhs.org/serc-submission or by mail at State Emblems Redesign Commission, ATTN: Lindsey Dyer, 345 W Kellogg Blvd, Saint Paul, MN 55102
  • Submissions are limited to three per person for the flag and the seal, each.
  • Submissions will be accepted until Monday, Oct. 30, at 11:59 p.m

The full list of rules and regulations is also available on the Minnesota Historical Society website.

After the public submission window closes the commission will choose five flag and seal finalists. The commission will then work with a professional design firm to polish the designs before choosing a single seal and flag design among the finalists.

LEA releases 2023 Report on the Minnesota Legislature

Since 1972, the Legislative Evaluation Assembly of Minnesota (LEA)–a non-partisan and non-profit

organization–has informed the citizens of Minnesota of both important legislation and the voting performance of each Minnesota state legislator. Recently, LEA put out its 2023 Report on the Minnesota Legislature, which scores key votes on the “American founding principles of self-evident truths and inalienable rights.”

With a voting performance of 96%, I am grateful to be recognized as one of the 10 state legislators honored in this year’s LEA Report.

From highly controversial legislative changes to extremely reckless spending, the Democrat-controlled legislature turned a blind eye to the promises they made to Minnesotans. The one-party control of our state by Democrats has not been good for Minnesotans, and I remain committed to pushing back against their radical agenda.
