ST. PAUL, MN –  Senator Rob Farnsworth (R- Hibbing) is expressing extreme disappointment with the Biden administration’s 20-year ban on mining in Northeastern Minnesota:

“This ban by the Biden administration is extremely disappointing and disheartening for the Iron Range. We are a leader in protecting our natural resources while growing our jobs and economy. This ban ignores the science that demonstrates mining for precious metals can be done here without compromising our state’s natural beauty. I will continue to fight to make Minnesota a mining-friendly state with a fair permitting process for all industries.”
