Sen. Bahr responds to February forecast, demands fiscal responsibility

Minnesota Management and Budget (MMB) today presented the state’s February budget forecast. It shows an initial surplus of $3.7 billion this budget, with continued structural imbalances impacting the bottom line in the future.

“Minnesota continues to spend beyond its means while oversight and accountability fall far behind,” Senator Cal Bahr (R–East Bethel) said. “Governor Walz and Democrats are letting fraud run rampant across state programs, and taxpayers continue to pay the price. It is time to put real solutions ahead of political excuses. Minnesotans deserve fiscal responsibility, transparency, and a government that works for them.”
