Michael Kreun is an attorney, business owner, and public servant representing District 32 in the Minnesota Senate, which includes Blaine, Ham Lake, Columbus, and Lexington. First elected in 2022, he currently serves as Assistant Minority Leader and sits on the Capital Investment, Education Finance, and Judiciary and Public Safety Committees.

Senator Kreun is a lawyer at the law firm of LeVander, Gillen & Miller, P.A. in Eagan where he primarily practices in real estate litigation. Before joining LeVander, he served as Corporate Counsel for a Minnesota-based company managing a nationwide litigation portfolio and, before that, was a shareholder at a Minneapolis litigation firm practicing real estate litigation -- as he is doing once again. The Senator is also a frequent speaker on real property law, and former Real Property Section Chair of the Hennepin County Bar Association. Senator Kreun is a volunteer lawyer with the Children’s Law Center of Minnesota, a member of the Minnesota Amateur Sports Commission, and is also co-owner of a self-serve craft brew pub in Blaine, reflecting his entrepreneurial spirit and community engagement.

Prior to serving in the Senate, he served on the Spring Lake Park School Board and the Coon Creek Watershed Board.

Senator Kreun and his wife, Laura, have lived in Blaine for over 23 years, where they have raised their three children — Anders, Josie, and Andrea.
