Majority Leader Paul Gazelka responds to Legislative Report on Child Care Assistance Fraud

“The report today confirms what we’ve suspected since last summer- that widespread and rampant fraud exists in the Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP). The lead investigator said as much as 50 percent of the state funding is being spent fraudulently, affecting not just the taxpayers, but the families that actually need assistance. Minnesotans are generous people, but they expect government to be accountable to them.”
