Lucero: The love of many will grow cold

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

Last week was the conclusion of week three of the legislative session and it sure was a full week!

Sen. Lucero attending the March For Life rally Sunday at the MN Capitol, along with State Reps. Dawn Gillman, Natalie Zeleznikar, Bobbie Harder, Bernie Perryman, Krista Knudsen, Pam Altendorf, Congresswoman Michelle Fischbach, and many others. “I’m proud to stand with strong women who are fighting to protect innocent life in the womb,” Lucero said.

Sen. Lucero attending the SOLD OUT Options for Women- Cornerstone annual gala Friday evening last week at Saint Michael Catholic Church. “Innocent life must be protected and our great community continues to stand for truth,” Lucero said.

DEMOCRATS ARE EXTREME FOR ABORTION

House File 1 and Senate File 1 enshrining abortion are the top priority bills for Democrats above anything else this year. HF 1 passed the MN House last week and SF 1 is scheduled to be heard on the MN Senate Floor this coming Friday.

These extreme Democrat priority bills legalize abortion until the millisecond of birth, have absolutely zero limitations on age, zero health and safety considerations for the woman, etc. Most of the world has restrictions of some kind on abortion, but Minnesota Democrats want zero restrictions. Only 7 countries in the world permit abortion on demand of a fully viable child to the moment of birth, including North Korea and China. Minnesota Democrats are demanding to put Minnesota on par with blood thirsty dictatorships on the other side of the planet. It truly shocks the conscience!

Truth recorded for us in the Gospel of Matthew speaks of a future time when, “Many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another…And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.” That day of hearts and love growing cold may have arrived in our time. I’m at a loss to describe people using all their might to support the murder of a fully viable child other than coldness of heart and lack of love. I am very, very, very concerned about the future of Minnesota as callousness appears to have captured the hearts of so many in this state.

OTHER LEGISLATION MOVING AT THE CAPITOL

In addition to abortion, the Democrat majority is fast-tracking radical new energy mandates, drivers licenses for illegal immigrants, automatic voting registration including teenagers, more spending with little to zero transparency or accountability protections, recreational marijuana, gambling, attacks on Second Amendment rights, and more. All the bills are very controversial and will have MAJOR impacts on the future of Minnesota, yet the bills are being rammed through committees in a matter of weeks with zero interest by Democrats in any alternative voices or bipartisanship. The Democrat fast-track strategy is to abuse their one seat majority in the Senate to force extreme new laws before people have the opportunity to organize opposition. Such actions are not leadership or consent of the governed but instead tyranny of the majority over the minority.

As one example of how fast Democrats are pushing their radical agenda, I asked one of the Democrat testifiers in the Senate Energy Committee last week to clarify her deliberate vagueness in her usage of “reasonable” electricity rate increases on Minnesotans. She was unable to answer. Watch the short video from the committee by clicking the following link HERE.
