Medical Assistance Work Requirements

This week we introduced a plan that would require able-bodied people collecting Medical Assistance to spend part of their time working, looking for work, or doing community or public service. There are exceptions, but we want to get more people off public health programs and back to work.

My “slowpoke” bill would stop people from driving slowly in the left lane

We’ve all been stuck behind slow moving drivers hogging the left lane, even though that lane is only supposed to be used for passing. Recently I introduced a bill that would ease some of those frustrations by adding Minnesota to the list of states that penalizes left-lane drivers.
