Gazelka, Miller hear remarks by President Trump and Israeli Prime Minister at the White House

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) – Majority Leader Paul Gazelka (R- Nisswa) and Senate President Jeremy Miller (R-Winona) attended remarks by President Donald Trump and Prime Minister of the state of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, on Tuesday afternoon at the White House. They released the following statements after the event:

“It’s a privilege and an honor to hear from our strongest ally in the Mideast, Israel,” said Majority Leader Paul Gazelka. “As a democratic leader in the region, both Israel and Minnesota benefit when we exchange ideas and experiences with other leaders. Whether it’s calling out hateful attacks, stopping anti-Semitic policies, or developing new opportunities for our economy, Minnesota has a friend in Israel, and that friendship was on display this afternoon.”

“Today was an example of taking time to focus on the good and progress we can make when we listen and work together,” said Senate President Jeremy Miller. “I appreciate hearing from all sides of an issue and learning more about their perspective so we can find common ground to move forward. Attending this historic event today was an honor that will stay with me for a lifetime.”
