Senator Eric Lucero

Proudly representing Senate District 30
Communities in Anoka, Hennepin, Sherburne, and Wright counties

Senator Lucero is serving his first term in the Minnesota Senate. He represents District 30, which includes the communities of Rockford Township, Hanover, Saint Michael, Albertville, Otsego, Elk River, Nowthen, and Western Oak Grove. 

Prior to being elected to the Senate, Lucero served four terms in the Minnesota House of Representatives, serving the eastern Wright County cities of Albertville, Hanover, Otsego, St. Michael, and the Wright County portion of Dayton.

 Lucero owns a consulting firm that helps organizations of all sizes with information security projects. He has more than two decades of experience in the information technology and cybersecurity industries. Lucero also worked as a college instructor for seven years, teaching a range of subjects including Computer Security, Computer Forensics, Voice & Data Communications, and more. Lucero is also a licensed real estate agent, a licensed general contractor, and manages both a real estate brokerage and property management company with his wife.

Lucero holds an MBA from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota, as well as a Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Forensics, a Bachelor of Science in Law Enforcement, and a Computer Networking Design and Development Degree from Metropolitan State University and NEI College of Technology, respectively. He also has minors in Mathematics and Psychology.
