Drazkowski: Walz legacy on full display as FBI raids 22 Minnesota fraud sites

Federal agents executed 22 search warrants across the Twin Cities this morning, raiding daycare centers and autism providers as part of a major fraud investigation into Minnesota's Medicaid programs. The raids came just hours before Tim Walz is set to deliver his State of the State address.

“Today’s raids will be yet another a chapter in Gov. Walz’s legacy of fraud," Senator Steve Drazkowski (R-Mazeppa) said. “The federal government is having to come in and do what Gov. Walz has refused to do for seven years. He has had everything he needs to stop fraud this entire time, including whistleblowers sounding the alarm, telling him something was badly wrong. Instead of acting, he supervised the fraud as billions were stolen from us.”

Minnesota has been ground zero for some of the largest Medicaid fraud cases in American history. The Feeding Our Future scandal alone cost taxpayers more than $300 million, and the abuse stretched across childcare, housing assistance, medical transportation, and autism services throughout Gov. Walz's time in office.
