Dayton Budget Falls Short Again – Last 5 out of 6 Months

Senate Republican Leader David Hann released the following statement responding to the July budget report showing revenue falling short of the forecast by $69 million, or 6.6%. This is the fifth time in the last six months that revenues from the Gov. Dayton budget of 2013 have not met the projections of the February Forecast.
“Today’s announcement marks the fifth time in the last six months that revenues from Gov. Dayton’s budget have fallen short of projections,” said Senate Republican Leader David Hann (Eden Prairie). “How many more months will it take for Dayton and the Democrats to admit their $2.1 billion tax increase did not bring stability to the Minnesota budget like they promised?”
