The University of Minnesota has announced this year’s Farm Family Recognition Program honorees, celebrating farm families from across Minnesota for their important contributions to agriculture and their local communities.
Senator Julia Coleman (R–Waconia) congratulated the honorees from Senate District 22:
"Congratulations to the Hoen Family in Carver County and to all the outstanding Farm Families across our state," said Sen. Coleman. "The dedication, hard work, and skill it takes to operate a farm at such a high level is unmatched. Thank you to all our farming families for everything you do for your local communities and for Minnesota as a whole."
The Farm Family Recognition Program has honored Minnesota farmers since 1979. It is run by University of Minnesota Extension along with the College of Food, Agricultural, and Natural Resource Sciences and the College of Veterinary Medicine. Honorees are celebrated each August at Farmfest in Redwood County.
